VALENTINES DAY IDEA FOR YOUR HUBBY

Here's a little Valentine idea for couples. Give a gift that states, or re-states your commitment to your spouse or significant other. If you're married, make a copy of your wedding vows on colored or patterned paper, roll it like a scroll and fasten with a ribbon. If you're dating, write something appropriate for the stage of relationship you're in - like "I will be here as your support and cheerleader! I love you!" Tuck it in a gift box with his or her favorite chocolates.

Shrimp & Cheese Dip--YUMMY FOR A SUPER BOWL PARTY

Shrimp & Cheese Dip
This fantastic dip takes only 4 ingredients:

1 small 16oz bottle of mayonnaise
1 block of Cracker Barrel Extra Sharp cheese
1 minced onion
1/2 lb of shrimp
Begin by mincing the onion and the shelled shrimp.

Cook the onion and shrimp for a few minutes with a little salt and pepper, but be sure not to use too much oil in the pan or it will make your dip very oily.

Cut up the block of Cracker Barrel Extra Sharp cheese.

Mix everything together in a small casserole dish.

Cook at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes, you will need to stir it once while it is cooking.

Serve with your favorite sliced bread and Enjoy!

YUMMY CANDY CANE HEARTS!!!

Candy Cane Hearts
I see these candy cane hearts all over the web and in stores. Left with some extra candy canes after Christmas I thought I would give it a try!

All you need are candy canes (I used mini ones) and lollipop sticks.

Place candy canes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Remember to leave enough room for the sticks.

Bake at 300 degrees for ABOUT 5 minutes. All ovens are different so watch closely until you decide the right time for your oven. Bake until you just see the candy cane melt.

Place a stick in the candy canes.

Pinch candy canes around the stick. The candy canes and pan will be hot so be very careful!

Once completely cool you can wrap them up and you have cute treats!

I think they also make really great cupcake toppers. I had to break about 1/2″ off the stick to make it fit into the cupcake

VALENTINES DAY MAILBOXES

I know it's way before Valentine's Day, but I thought this was the cutest idea and had to share it with all of you. I bought the mail boxes at Target for $1 a piece. They have them at Michael's too for $2.99. I stuck a sticker to the front of the mailbox starting with the first letter of our names. Flags are up when nothing is in them, in the morning, flags are down and we get to see what's in our mailbox until Valentine's.

Here are some things I picked up at Micheal's in the clearance section. I thought these things were cute to put in their mailbox through out the month. It doesn't have to be gifts. I'm not going to do gifts everyday.
This morning they opened them and found a note that said I love you. I'm going to put candies, more love notes, and change to put in their piggy bank. You can get creative with this. I'm hoping that my kids will learn to love one another and know who much we love them
What Valentines Day tradition does your family have???????
